Tailor Made Suits – Auckland Central sits right in the heart of the city on Vulcan Lane. We’re here for people who want a sharper fit, better fabric, and honest service — not mass-produced suits off a rack.

We’ve built a reputation for bespoke suits, made-to-measure tailoring, and formal hire, and now we’ve brought that experience directly into the CBD. After years of refining our process, we’ve moved closer to where the competition is. The goal is simple: make quality tailoring more accessible in the city, and change how Kiwis buy, hire, and wear suits.

What We Do at the Auckland Central Showroom

Bespoke Suits (By Appointment)

Full bespoke means your pattern is drafted for you from the ground up. Fabric, lining, lapel shape, pocket style, button stance — everything is personalised. This is the option for grooms, people who want something unique, or anyone who’s never had a suit that truly fits in the shoulders and chest.

Made-to-Measure Tailoring

Made-to-measure is ideal if you want a highly tailored result without going fully bespoke. We start with a base block, take your measurements, adjust for how you actually stand and move, and then customise details so it feels like you — not “off the shelf.” It’s our most popular choice for business suits and wedding parties.

Ready-to-Wear Suits

We carry a curated selection of ready-wear jackets, trousers, shirts and accessories. This is perfect if you’re on a deadline and still want to look sharp. We’ll help you choose the right cut, then fine-tune the fit with in-house alterations.

Suit Hire

Need to look right for one day, not forever? Our formal hire range covers weddings, corporate events, black-tie, school balls and pageboys. We’ll help you match style and fit across the whole group, so everyone looks consistent in photos.

Alterations

We can tighten, taper, shorten, clean up the lines, fix stress points, and generally make an existing suit sit better on your frame. This is one of the fastest ways to immediately look more put-together — especially if you’re wearing something off-the-rack that’s “almost right.”

Dry Cleaning & Garment Care

We also offer professional dry cleaning and suit care. This is useful if you’re preparing for a big event, returning hire garments, or keeping a favourite suit in rotation without ruining the fabric through harsh cleaners.

• Black-tie / formal events: Tuxedos and eveningwear that don’t look like a last-minute rental.

• Repeat clients: Bring in a suit you already own and we’ll refine it so it sits right in the shoulders, chest, waist and trouser break.

We’re an easy walk from Queen Street, High Street, and most central offices. If you’re driving, Victoria St Carpark is usually the simplest option, then it’s a short walk to Vulcan Lane.

Before You Come In

• If you already have a suit you like the feel of, bring it — it helps us understand your preferred fit.
• If you’re getting married, bring any inspiration photos or colour palette so we can match lining, ties, lapels and accessories for the whole party.
• For suit hire, please bring valid photo ID at pickup.
